I can officially say that I've started "nesting"...or at least turned up the volume on my need to clean, sort, organize, and otherwise drive my husband crazy!! This past weekend, we helped our friends move from their apartment, and I suddenly had a panic moment about how much junk we have! Matthew spent all day Saturday hauling furniture and boxes up and down stairs and loading a U-Haul. Then, as we were driving home, I decided that we needed to clean out our garage on Sunday. Matthew is SO wonderful and he didn't complain a bit!! He helped me all day throw things out, go through boxes we haven't opened in 2 years, reorganize, move things around, and sweep out the garage. I was VERY tempted to scrub the garage floor with soap and water, but I stopped just short of it. In the middle of all of this, we were trying to get Matthew's car fixed (flat tire & dead battery), so the fact that we had it all taken care of by Tuesday afternoon means I'm impressed...and ready to tackle the next project!! After all the work I made him do, I wasn't sure he'd come back home from work on Monday, but not only did he come back, he came back asking how he could help me with our closet cleaning!! Lucky for Matthew, most of the other "projects" on my list don't require so much of his help. I am so blessed and grateful to have such an amazing husband!!
Saturday evening (pre-garage mayhem), Matthew really wanted to start looking for a diaper bag for our babe. We went to several stores and while we didn't find the bag we were looking for, we did find an outfit for our little man. It's a little over-all outfit and Matthew is a HUGE fan. He took pictures and wanted to make sure you all saw it!
Our baby boy continues to grow! I am still able to feel him and I'm hoping that soon, Matthew will, too! I've been feeling a little yucky lately...lots of nasal congestion, pains in my left leg, and trouble sleeping. It comes and goes, and I had such a wonderfully uneventful several months that I really shouldn't complain. I've been getting a little anxious looking at the calendar and knowing he will be here so soon...I even had a dream last night about his arrival (and I had no idea what I was doing!!!). I know the next 4 months will fly!
We are so looking forward to the holidays!! We've got a busy week ahead, so my post next week may be a little late.
We're headed to Dallas on Monday to spend Thanksgiving with Nelson, Brenda, Shannon, and Kevin. I love Thanksgiving...and we have so very much to be thankful for this year!!
HAPPY 2nd ANNIVERSARY TO MADELINE & DARRYL (on Monday!!)
